Smithfield Police are investigating a theft reported at the County Club of Johnston County on Country Club Road.
Officers were dispatched to the location Friday morning after employees at the golf course discovered 5 golf cart chargers had been stolen. Police said the theft occurred between 11:00 pm Thursday and 9:00 am Friday. The chargers were valued at $650.
On Monday, Police Captain T.S. Choe said officers are following up on a few leads in the case, however no arrests have been made.
