A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service.
The Flood Warning remains in effect until 10:30pm for Harnett, Wayne, Johnston, Hoke, Warren, Wake, Halifax, Cumberland, Wilson, Franklin, Sampson, Nash and Edgecombe Counties.
Emergency Management officials reported flooding across the warned area.
The River Flood Warning continues for the Neuse River in Smithfield and Goldsboro.
The Neuse River in Smithfield reached 29 feet Monday. Tuesday the level had fallen to 24.6 feet. Flood stage is 15 feet.
The river is forecast to fall below 18 feet tonight and below 15 feet Wednesday.
